PERSONALITY

With Addie, what you see is mostly what you get. She is an exceptionally hard worker who rarely expresses emotions or desires. People think she’s difficult to read, but pretty simply she sucks at human communication. She’s blunt, and only speaks her mind if she deems it necessary to. And quite frankly, she IS rather unemotional by nature, difficult to touch or disturb, either way. She never complains about anything, and believes there’s not necessarily much merit in her opinions. Work is all that’s important to her, and she often goes above and beyond what she’s supposed to do.

HISTORY

Addie was born to an Italian woman whose name she doesn’t remember. The woman was single and died in childbirth, so Addie was raised alone by her grandmother, until the old woman died when the girl was only 8 years old. An orphan on the streets of Italy, she wouldn’t have lasted long if a mafia boss hadn’t taken note of her and taken her in.

The Bovino family is a small family in an equally small town in Italy whose main business is as major cattle herders (and wine makers). The insane revenue this business has brought them has allowed them to spend richly on developing unique weapons, which they use to make it on top in the mafia world as a powerful family, for one so small. Having few foot soldiers, however, they remain a family dependent on their connections.

Addie was taken on as a charity case, and given a job as a maid in the household. She was found to be a hard-worker with nowhere else to go. These circumstances made her more trustworthy and an easy target for work that required someone with nothing better to do: ie, a babysitter.

When the master’s wife gave birth to a new baby boy, she unwittingly ended up taking care of him when the mother and wetnurse didn’t feel like dealing with him, which ended up being all the time. After 3 months of this, the master found out and officially named her Lambo’s personal caretaker, a move that turned out to be right for the entire household… they think.

The move to Japan was sudden, and she was told only that they were sent as emissaries from the Bovino to the Vongola. She was given an address and a description, but no other instructions. Lambo, for his part, heavily resisted going, until he discovered that the arcobaleno Reborn was there waiting for them – a baby he had a personal grudge with after an… encounter at a bar, when she’d been busy.

RELATIONSHIPS

Lambo – The brat she’s in charge of is basically just that. He’s annoying and uncontrollable, and she’s not afraid of being rough with him if it’s necessary… and sometimes even when it isn’t really necessary.

The master – Her respected benefactor, to whom she is exceptionally extra polite and formal with.

The master’s wife – The woman does not seem to like her, and mostly ignores her presence, even though Addie is taking care of her precious 4th son.

Other servants of the Bovino family – Many of the servants in the household were good friends and got along well, almost a prerequisite to working well together, but not Addie. She kept to herself and never became close to any of them.

APPEARANCE

She is a relatively thin, but slightly curvaceous fifteen-year-old, who is a bit on the shorter side, but looks older than she is. She weighs more than she seems to at first because she is rather strong and most of her mass is muscle mass. She has coarse, black hair that is mostly kept short except for a thick braid going down her back all the way to her hips. Her eyes are a striking green color, but oddly empty, and she will, on occasion, wear glasses when she can’t find her contacts or doesn’t want to wear them, though contacts are much preferred, as they don’t cause a problem with a rambunctious kid and practice fights. She typically wears maid clothing, but will switch it up if it’s necessary to blend in, etc. She just feels the most comfortable in it.

SKILLS

Fighting – somewhat to the surprise of the family that took her in, Addie was quick to pick up the use of most weapons, and although her signature cattle prod was a special weapon made just for her, she is also adept in the use of knives and other spear-like weapons.

Housework – duh. Also a decent cook with simple dishes.

Trilingual – fluent in Japanese and Italian, and can get by decently in English.
