Personal writing projects, including short stories, interconnected novel series, and simpler personal worlds.
A series of interconnected romances set in a historical fantasy setting based on Georgian era Britain. I hope to publish these as full-fledged and edited novels, so they are currently locked to everyone except beta readers.
Inspired by the (wasted) premise of Once Upon a Time and the Gail Carson Levine adaptations of traditional fairy tales, this is my take on a series of old fairy tales woven together into the same world with complex overlapping plotlines.
A world turning non-romance shounen and shoujo tropes into seven separate factions of mercenary "special" people. The main story revolves around a girl without the powers she should have, reuniting the increasingly divided and hostile factions.
A world where some people live on floating structures either on the sea or in the skies, with their own completely different cultures. The two stories follow the adventures of two very different girls, one of the sky peoples, one of the sea.
(Note: This setting is a friend's original creation.) What if cryptids really existed, but the reason we've never found them out is because there is a magical secret society that recruits people in their teens to keep the shadow creatures hidden?
A woman who has spent most of her adult life hunting for the serial killer who murdered her family finally has a chance to catch him when he resurfaces, almost ten years later, but the truth may be more than she's prepared for.
In a... sort of medieval fantasy world, two girls from polar opposite backgrounds go on traditionally doomed quests only to discover that the two quests are one and the same, and they need each other if they want to survive.
Heavily based on and inspired by the Chinese webtoon Princess's Happily-ever-after Marriage, in a traditional Asian fantasy world, the wife of the most influential prince in the country discovers she has more power than she had thought.
A story written in Japanese where five families have been cursed with magic powers. Once the rulers of the kingdom, the families have been wiped out by a rebellion, and now one of the families' last living members is forced to fight in a deadly game.
A reinterpretation or rewrite of a manga called Tsumasaki ni Kiss. Written in 2015, this short story is… well, a tragedy. It doesn’t have very smooth transitions, but considering I wrote it in a sleep-deprived 8 hour night, I think it’s pretty decent. Then again, I ain’t read it in years, so again, compassion.
