The World of Adestor

My personal passion project of more than 10 years.

Adestor was first conceptualized in 2008 in something that can best be described as a prince/ss adventure story crossed with a Percy Jackson ripoff. But what started as a simple story started by a girl barely in her teens turned into a massive worldbuilding project I would come to see as my baby. It spawned a slew of interrelated stories, and the creation of two languages.

Adestor is non-medieval fantasy world connected to our world by portal. Its species have existed far longer than ours, and operates on a multi-tiered federal monarchy system. Its name and the structure of its government are based in the existence of seven main elements: Light, represented by the purple gem Annerin, Earth, represented by the white gem Darahun, Sea, represented by the green gem Eliasi, Air, represented by the blue gem Serrana, Change, represented by the orange gem Tagap, Dark, represented by the black gem Okilahin, and Fire, represented by the red gem Ruktehok.

Lore

The main part of my work - details of the world itself and its history. This includes its various species, the government and cultures that can be found there, and the many ways in which magic works in Adestor.

The Stories

Besides the main story that started this whole journey in the first place, several side stories were born in this setting, each adding new details, and a little extra flavor of their own to the characters and the world itself.

The Languages of Adestor

Perhaps the most challenging project I've ever undertaken, Vallessa and Sraselig currently form the two main unique languages in the world. One created specifically to unite its peoples, and one whose origin is a mystery.
