Stril, kingdom of greatness. Where honey flows through its water and maidens’ hair are braided with gold. Stril, where the harvests are bountiful every year and mothers sing their children to sleep with songs inspired by their just king. Stril, of which minstrels sing today of their culture, skill and wit and its mighty walls of which nothing remains. Stril, a legend amongst the states that followed after. Stril the kingdom with no proof of existence.

The theory goes that Stril is the world itself, when life was less complicated and fewer in numbers. The sweetened water is said to be still found in the mysterious area of Naragi, covered in mists and guarded by the clans residing there watching over the sleeping dragon in the pond. But it is in the citadels in the south and in particular in Yll, that the great walls stand that are said to have never been conquered, with its lush fields and rich harvests. Yet, the floating plates of Veer are said to be the closest to Stril in justice, for only the most noble are allowed to set foot in its holy lands.

A more sinister theory goes that Stril, great and mighty as it was, has fallen and swallowed itself whole into the area now known as Hell; the valley of war. The place where the soil has grown infertile for the blood that still stains its water, and where the earth has turned black from the fire that razed the once thriving area. Hell, where no decent life can be found. The clans of Naragi claim that Hell is missing its rightful ruler, waiting for the sleeping king to wake. While the citadels of the south believe that Hell is still mourning the loss and tragedy of the many wars that were fought and still are fought. Veer in its turn believe that it are the damned who gather there, for the truly irredeemable. None can agree on its history, like none can agree on Stril.

Naragi

Naragi is the collective name of the misty mountainous wetlands spanning the north east. Rich in rivers and ponds there is a constant fine mist that covers the area, chills the temperature and limits the sight of its inhabitants. The clans that reside there are known to be nomadic, traveling wherever their cattle takes them, or their ambitions….

They wear bells on their clothes to announce their presence. To approach without the sound of a bell is said to approach with bad intent, and a clan who takes off their bells are declaring war on the rest.

The weather is chilly up in the mountains, but it is warm and humid down below. The biggest pond of Naragi is said to be the sleeping spot of the last dragon, the dragon king, chained there after its reign of terror and kept asleep. They see the bubbles of the water as a bad omen that signifies its awakening and the return of the dragons’ wrath.

Wang-giya - The King's clan

The Citadels of the South

Spanning the south and closest to Hell are the citadels, small fortresses that act as independent states of which Yll is its most famous one, with its grand walls that have never been conquered…

Are said to be war mongering where they have fought one another over ideals and morals, corruption and all that you can think of.

YLL

The most southern citadel and oldest of them all. With its great walls that are said to be Stril's own Yll has never been conquered and its walls never penetrated.

The Floating Plates of Veer

Floating as islands over the sea and the oceans, but even high above the sky, Veer are the temples that still honours and worships the old ways of the world. It is more of a collective mindset and lifestyle rather than an definite area and a state, a religion if you so will --- see ethnoreligion ---

Myth has it that the name Veer refers to the dragons' place of origin. That it was a realm hidden high in the heavens from before the time the dragons were cursed and doomed to live chained to the ground. Some say that it still exists and that deep within a dragon an instinct lies dormant that will lead them to this mythical place, but that they have lost their power to reach it. It is yet another place lost to history.

Hell; Valley of War

Dark are the grounds and red are the rivers, forever remembering the fallen warriors whose memory remain unsung.

When people are banished they are set out outside of the city into the valley of death where they roam and find their deaths.

According to the clans of Naragi: Hell is waiting for its rightful ruler to bring the land back to revival

According to the citadels: it is the blight we have cast ourselves with our warmongering; reason why those who get banished are banished to Hell and everything that comes from Hell is considered to be cursed

According to the followers of Veer: The wrath of the heavens and the place for the irredeemable that have no other place to go after life.

- Within the realm you can create your own clan/state/religion within the world, or choose to be part of one of the clans and ladidadida of your choice...

Magic: yes or no, it kinda disappeared, or is believed to have disappeared....

The areas have been introduced, but even within countries there is a difference in culture, narrative and beliefs. What is yours? State and declare it!

Craft your own:

Name:
Area:
Clan/citadel/etc…
System: monarchy, meritocracy, oligarchy, etc…

Rather stay within the what's known? Also alright:

[insert CS]
