Eister’s Intro

The Lord of House Stark is dead, and his successor and new Hand of the Queen is nothing more than a snot-nosed whelp. The news was like lightning to no one but a daughter of the House Farwynd. A young, unmarried Hand of the Queen, and she, yet unmarried herself. A chance for the Ironborn to rise again. It was to her father’s surprise that she requested an appearance with him and asked if he might offer her hand in marriage to the young Stark. An Ironborn like her, actually wanting to become the bride of the Hand of the traitorous Queen? It would be like bringing shame upon herself.

She faced her father proud and strong and told him the truth of her heart: that she was an Ironborn, and an Ironborn must be beaten, for they would kneel to no one. She told him that their honor and dignity as a people must be regained, but force alone was not sufficient with the Queen on the side of the Lannisters. Though there was little hope of a Stark choosing one of their kind, she was well on into the marrying age and she only needed the chance to greet him. One chance. She knew she could charm him. She was Eister, second daughter and youngest child of the Lord Ygran of House Farwynd of the Lonely Light. No matter what other young women were presented to the Lord of House Stark, she would be the one to become his wife – if only to ensure her true people rise again.
